|Jim Franchville is the VP of Manufacturing and Supply Chain for the Completion Tools group in National Oilwell Varco (NOV). He is responsible for overall safety, quality, delivery and cost in 7 regions worldwide (US, Canada, Norway, Russia, Middle East, Argentina, and Asia PAC) and the supporting supply chain.
Jim joined NOV (Robbins & Myers at that time before acquisition in February 2013) as the Vice President of Operations and Operational Excellence in September of 2010 and moved to Sr. VP of Manufacturing and Sourcing for Process and Flow Technologies, before taking on his current role. Jim’s responsibilities throughout his time at NOV have included full P&L responsibilities of manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing/Supply Chain, EH&S and Continuous Improvement. Prior to coming to Robbins & Myers Jim spent 5 years in aerospace industry (Cessna Aircraft), 2 years in the medical device industry (GE Healthcare) and 15 years in the automotive industry (Delphi) in operations, facilities, quality and lean manufacturing.
|Jim is a native of Indiana and graduated with a BS in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University and an MS from Purdue in Industrial Administration. He is a certified Master Black Belt (General Electric) and has been trained in lean manufacturing by Toyota lean senseis. He earned his VFR Private Pilot’s license in August 2008.
Jim and his wife Tricia reside in The Woodlands, Texas and have three daughters, Chloe, Mia and Lily.
